AFP Xie Wei’s hand, photographed on Dec. 4 for this image released Tuesday, and grafted to his leg at a hospital in Changsha, Hunan province. Doctors kept the hand, which was cut off in a work accident, alive by attaching it near his ankle. They later reattached the hand to its proper place.
